Nov. 7 2019 For
those that drive Maysel Hill on a regular basis, for the last several years,
we have seen a big change and improvement in some property located right
beside the road. Not so long ago, there was three small wooden houses that
were in shambles. In five years, those structures have been torn down,
building materials reused, the level of the property has been raised several
feet, a newer double wide trailer was moved in, and now, out buildings
are under construction. Hard working Raymond Brown is the guy that is at
the helm of those massive changes.
The Raymond Brown place for all intents
and purposes is a success. Daily the kids are outside playing, smiling,
and appearing to be growing up in good circumstances.
Looks can be very deceiving.
Last week we noticed a bunch of
Badge mobiles there. Something was up. Yesterday Mr Brown was arrested.
In Magistrate court land, probable cause was found. The guy was sent to
Central Regional Jail awaiting bond with 720 sexual abuse charges to his
name. That might be, probably is, a new record for County Clay.
That break down is 240 counts of
Sexual Abuse first degree; 240 counts of Sexual Abuse by a parent; and,
240 more counts of Incest.
Penned by arresting Badge Corporal R R
Cervera, here's the criminal complaint on Raymond Lee Brown (DOB 9-4-1972):
On Wed Oct 30 2019, Cervera responded
to a sexual assault complaint. There he met with DHHR's Sarah Keen, CMS
Principal Mrs Goe, and a Guidance Counselor. the Principal said that a
female student had come forward that she had been sexually assault by her
Father for several years.
Cervera spoke with the student. The victim
went on to tell Cervera that her Father Raymond Brown had been sexually
assaulting her almost all her life. she went on tell the Badge that the
assault happened at least three or four times a week since she was 11 years
old and would include digit, oral, anal, and vaginal penetration.
The victim went on to say, some of this
took place in her bedroom and that her Father was ejaculate in the floor
on the carpet and then clean it up with a towel or sock. Some of the assault
were in the old house before it burned and some were in the new double
side and outside on the property.
The most recent happened the week of Oct
30,2019 and have been happening since this juvenile was 3 years old.
After meeting with the victim, Cervera
met with the Mother who gave the Badge permission to search the residence
for any evidence of the crime.
Cervera and a Crime Scene Team recovered
6 carpet cuttings from the victim's bedroom that appeared to have bodily
fluid on them.
All of the acts would take place when
the Father was taking care of the victim and the Mother was gone from the
residence....
Some things we may never understand. It's
a sad day in Clay.
