Here's Case: 19-M08F-00055
Green Shirt JM Ellis
did the honors of catching a local yocal with a long list of criminal charges.
The arrest of Roy A Woods came Dec 12 2019. Born on Jan 18 1978, Woods
has been able to evade several misdemeanor charges plus some stuff over
from Family Court.
With a home address
in Wallback, here goes with the criminal charges found on the public complaint
form filed in the Clay County Magistrate Court.
Just before 5pm on
dec 12th, Ellis was routine traffic patrol in the Walback area. Driving
a silver vehicle near the Ovapa cutoff, no inspection sticker was seen.
When the Woods vehicle took out, a radio check of the plates showed, no
record was on file of that plate.
For those that don't
know, that's a bad thang.
The vehicle pulled
off on the left side of the road as Ellis came in behind it with blue lights
ablaze. When Woods saw the lights behind him, he took off at a high rate
of speed swerving across both lanes. Woods then passed another vehicle
in a no passing zone and continued to flee.
In pursuit out Hansford
Fork Woods then turned unto Horse Fork Road . While attempting to turn
on Simons Fork Road, he lost control and almost went over the hillside.
Not giving up so
easily, Roy Woods lit out on foot. Finally, after a foot chase, Ellis took
Woods into custody after a good dose of taser attention.
After the arrest,
Ellis found, the vehicle had no inspection sticker, was not properly registered,
his license was suspended three years ago, there was no insurance
on the vehicle and like icing on the cake, it was discovered, Roy
Woods had several other active warrants for similar offenses.
Guess where Mr Woods
was taken? Yelp, CRJ.
In the way of charges:
fleeing in a vehicle; fleeing on foot; driving suspended, required
security; improper registration; and no inspection sticker.
Note: no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't find a mug shirt of Mr Roy Woods.
