Jacob Young Arrested

Back when the bullets were flying
and everything not nailed down was being stole, Jacob was
10 years old. That was old enough for him to take naps
with an assault rifle at his side. Yelp, we saw!

Wiseman from the criminal complaint on file in the
Magistrate's office ...
Jacob Daniel Young (DOB 1/11/2000, #42)- was
arrested for prohibited person involving firearm/wanton
endangerment X 5. Below are the details of the criminal
complaint.
On Sunday, August 25th, 2019, at
approximately 9pm, officer TPR R.E. Wiseman was dispatched
by Clay county 911 Center for a shots fired complaint in
Ovapa. Upon arrival, officer Wiseman was met by a male
subject who identified himself as Wyndum Preston Childress
III.
Mr. Childress advised officer Wiseman that on
Sunday, August 25th, 2019, at approximately 8 pm, there
was a white in color pick-up truck spinning gravel up at
the end of his driveway. Mr. Childress advised officer
Wiseman that he then drove to the end of this driveway
where the white pick-up truck was spinning gravel to ask
him to stop. Mr. Childress advised officer Wiseman that he
then observed a male, who he identified as Jacob Daniel
young, driving the truck.
Mr. Childress advised officer Wiseman that he
and Mr. Young then got in to a verbal altercation. Then
they got into a physical altercation at which time they
struck each other multiple times in the face with closed
fists. Mr. Childress said Mr. Young returned to his
vehicle and retrieved a black and silver pistol. Mr.
Childress advised the officer that Mr. Young then took his
firearm and struck him in the face with it.
Mr. Childress advised officer Wiseman that he
then ran back to his vehicle at which time Mr. Young
discharged the firearm 5 times into his vehicle. Mr.
Childress then said that Mr. Young then returned to his
vehicle and left the residence.
Officer Wiseman then observed Mr. Childress’s
vehicle, and observed the back two windows of his vehicle
were shattered. He also observed what appeared to be
bullet in the truck of the vehicle. Officer Wiseman then
photographed Mr. Childress’s injuries which included a cut
on the bottom and top of his eye. This officer then
received a digitally recorded audio statement from Mr.
Childress.
Officer Wiseman then ran Mr. Young’s criminal
history through Clay County 911 Center. They advised him
that Mr. Young was convicted of grand larceny x 5, and
breaking and entering on July 1st, 2014. They also advised
him that Mr. Young was also convicted of grand larceny on
December 5th, 2011.
