JUSTICE SERVED, OCT. 7 2019

Stone                                                          Parsons

Workman                                                           Eagle

There was a time when we sat thru Motion Day on a regular basis. It was fun watching thugs make their final appeal to the Judge seeking mercy. Most of the time the crocodile tears didn't work but still interesting to watch.
With so many juvy's in the Court system theses days and with all those hearings done behind closed doors, rarely do we sit thru 8 hours of court time to hear just a couple adult cases.
Motion day is a chance for attorneys to come before the Judge and lay out the game plan for criminal cases. All kinds of stuff comes on such days from tossing a case, to what can be said when the transgression actually comes to trial.
On Oct 7th Judge Ric Facemire was on the bench. Based on court house records, here's a couple interesting nuggets.
Randall Parsons was indicted for felon failing to register as a sexual pervert. The Court provided Parsons with  a 1 the 3 year sentenced but suspended it leaving the guy on probation.
Travis Mullins and James Stone were indicted on Grand Larceny charges. Mullins received a suspended 1 to 10 year sentence. Stone received likewise plus weekends in jail, and five years probation.
Jeremiah Eagle will spend 70 days in the slammer for bashing into Tyler Caruther's personal vehicle and then fleeing.
Jonathan Humphry did not fair as well as Randall Parsons. Humphrys failed to register as  a sex offender stemming from a 2010 conviction. More recently, the guy was unable to shake his old ways and was caught doing kiddie via electric device. Jonathan now has  21 years in the pen to give him time to rethink his transgressions and turn his thoughts inward.
Mark Workman is well known in the County Clay court system. His infractions are many.
Workman is the guy that made threats on Prosecutor Jim Samples and family members.  Mr Workman and his attorney, Wayner King, went before Judge Facemire seeking bond reduction. During the hearing, the Special Prosecutor handling the state's case, read off the long list of priors to the Robe.  Big long list!
Instead of getting bond reduced, Ric Facemire doubled Mark Workman's bond.
