Honor God
What a privilege it is to give honor to whom honor is due.  We honor students who have excelled academically and rightly so.  We give honor to hero’s who have braved the elements to save a life whether they be a fireman, policeman, paramedic or soldier as well we should.  Honoring, encouraging or lifting them up is certainly in order.  The sacrifice of a mother or father or teacher that go all out to improve someone’s life is commendable and helps make this world a better place.
The greatest honor we can give belongs to God.  He is love and freely bestows on us His mercy and extends His grace to benefit us one and all.
He offers us a way of escape when our situation looks hopeless.  His Word is full of promises to all who will believe His Word and govern their lives accordingly.  He gave us our first breath and will be there when we take our last one.  If we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior eternal life will be our reward.  When we are sick, He is our healer.  When we have sinned, He cleanses us with His blood.  When we are in bondage, He sets us free.  He is not willing that any should perish so whether we find ourselves a sinner, backslider, doubter or skeptic;  if we will turn and call upon Him with a sincere heart, He will receive us and make us whole.
God extends to us peace, joy, love and so much more.  He gives us purpose in life and will never leave us nor forsake us.  There is so much more that God offers us if we will put our trust in Him and be obedient to His Word.  No matter what you have done or not done God loves you.  Calvary’s cross proves the seriousness of God’s love.  The resurrection proves the power of God and His Word proves the plan and wisdom of God.  So how can we best honor God?  By believing what He said and living a life that gives glory to Him with our words, deeds and lifestyle.  HALLELUJAH!

MARANATHA!
