Carey Beth Stutler
Felony 48 Carey
Beth Stutler (DOB 8-21-90) stands charged with malicious
assault from a mid October 2022 incident on Main Street in
downtown Clay. She's looking at up to 12 months in the slammer
on our dime and a $500 fine. Nathaniel Legg and Top Badge King
were the arresting officers.
From the criminal complaint and paraphrased big time: Russell Schoolcraft and Ms Stutler were boogeying down Main Street arguing about Russell flirting with other women and cheating on her. Somewhere near the Health Dept building, she had had enough, pulled out a knife and stabbed her man in the chest. Ouch!
Conveniently in front of the Ambulance Service where there are security cameras, blood could be seen on his hoodie.
The Badges talked with victim Russell who provided, Yelp, she stabbed him with a knife with a 3 inch blade that he had just sharpened.
Stutler admitted to the stabbing but she added, it happened after he had pushed her.
Now fellers, when they're mad stay away. Also, when you sharpen the knife, don't give it back to em!

Benjamin Joel Cruickshanks
Felony 47 BJ
Cruickshanks (DOB 47) is well known for his years of making
fame in Blotter articles. His mode is usually paper related.
Yelp, passing bad checks, making false ID's and using em, and
such. At one point in his career, he dressed as a Catholic
Priest and went around fleecing victims. At some other point
he proclaimed to be a down on his luck famous singer!
Neighbors in the Harrison neighbor know him well enough to
hold on to their wallets and lock out-building doors. At one
point in life, BJ could be seen driving an old truck in
reverse all over the place. Why? That's the only gear that
worked! Night time driving too!
He comes across as a nice guy. Unfortunately he has some real bad habits.
For this caper BJ switched gears a tad and now stands charged with grand larceny, driving suspended, no insurance, improper registration, expired MVI, and failure to produce an operator's license.
On Oct 17th the victim called in the complaint on someone breaking into his vehicle. The guy had been hunting and out Triplett Ridge and when he returned to it, everything from a Glock pistol, coolers, keys, munchies, drinks, eye glasses, and more was swiped.
Earlier a S-10 pick up had been broke into 1/4 mile from the Widen Ivydale intersection. There the victim, a Hawkins guy, noticed someone messing with that it. When asked, BJ told him, his wife had run out of gas and he was going to put some in. A short while later he drove away without adding fuel.
Sometime later victim Hawkins noticed the guy and truck parked on Triplett Ridge at a Phillip J Duffield residence.
Badges showed up and spoke to BJ who admitted to the heist. He added that the only person he traded the stolen goods to was a John Samel Lowe Jr . The trade was for heroin laced with fentanyl.
BJ showed the Badges where the stolen items were hidden inside the residence.
The victim also identified BJ as the culprit he had seen earlier in the day.
BJ is in deep stuff but Wait There's More!!

Felony 46 was awarded to that guy just mentioned above, John S Lowe Jr (DOB 5-19-1980).
This lad was charged with possession with intent to deliver and transferring stolen goods. This complaint was penned by Green Shirt J M Ellis.
Lowe was arrested while the Badge was responding to a larceny complaint also out Triplett Ridge (Phillip Duffield home) and related to BJ's caper. Lowe was asleep when the Badges entered the place and found the pink in color laced heroin.
Lowe, him too, has been caught.
