School Board , 14 minutes of it
Nov 9 2020

The Nov 9th School Board meeting continued a trend of very short get togethers. Last month they set a new record with a 6 minute public meeting. For the 9th, they lasted just  14 minutes before going into secret time.
The pitiful but interesting part has to do with the brain power of the Board Prez, Chair, Dave Mullins
  For the other stuff.
As of this date, the edumacation system has brought in $1,218,059.22 to date. Comparing that to this time last fiscal year, that's about $78K additional tax dollars at the ready for spending
Kristie Taylor , a local girl, was hired as a substitute teacher IF she gets certified in teaching
Luke Klemans quite as an assistant basketball coach at CMS
Lindsay Craze , another local, got the nod to be a substitute bus driver pending certification
Pamela Huffman was employed to be the English teacher at CMS, Clay Middle School. if she can get certified. See the trend? It is very rare that our elected Board hires someone that has a degree in teaching and full certified to be in the classroom. Guess that doesn't matter any more
Around 6:14 the Board went into secret time. We left and didn't wait until they came back into open session. Our best guess is, they were making the decision to close schools down until after T Day or maybe even, until after the Christmas break.
Next meeting of the group is slated for Nov 30th at the Pentagon.
There was no mention of the important stuff like: have the free puters been handed out, are the area "hotspots" working, how many teachers / personnel / kids are off with the virus.....
  Now for the real story.
While sitting around and chatting, one of the fellers in the back mentioned that a member of his immediate family has Corona. During questions, he said, the kid is very sick
From up front and without even a glimpse of a mask to be seen, Dave Mullins, piped in with, it's not that serious!... or something close to those words.
Here he is, the head of the $20+M school system and he doesn't have a clue of the Corony bug to say the least.
More likely and as a Kool Aid drinking Trumpitte that only listens to Republicrap TV stations, Dave Mullins hasn't a clue on how serious the pandemic is. He's completely in the dark or else, doesn't give a Shirt about what's going on.
That's the guy giving directions on how long to keep the schools open, how to run the system during the deadly pandemic and he doesn't even know about the spike in Corona cases. Heck, someone should ask him, Dave, how many Clayonians have died from the virus?
It's a very sad day in County Clay.
