About 99% of
the time, the only thing worth a hoot in County Clay , it
comes from the efforts of volunteers. Such was the case Friday
night Dec 10th. Volunteers pulled off one heck of great
Christmas Celebration complete with plenty of stuff for kids
to do and a Grand Parade to round out the night.
The weather even cooperated this year. Mild temps and
nearly dry skies made for a great atmosphere for upwards of
500 in attendance.
Three weeks ago this group attended a Town Council
meeting in search of free $$$ to make this event happen.
Turns out, local businesses donated enough and the Town
request went unneeded.
Doner and Cupid were on hand too
Space was provided over at Main Sweet Cafe to write letters to
Santa
When the Poopster sat on Santa's lap, the chair went down five
inches!
He's a mean one...
Many of the gifts that Santa gave away Friday night were made
possible by the Clay County Mud Runners
