Around high noon on Sept 16th the Badge spoke with a Ms Murphy person in reference to a sexual abuse complaint... She spoke of her 10 year old step daughter had been raped. The victim stated that at the last time the assault occurred (when the victim was 8 years old) and the abuse began when she was 5 or 6 years old..... The abuses happened at a deceased grandmother's house while Mr Murphy was baby sitting ...
An older daughter witnessed an occurrence where the victim was sitting on Murphy's bed and when asked, the victim said: she was waiting to see paw paw's pee pee. ...
The bad guy agreed to come to the Green Shirt resort in Big Otter to be interviewed... Murphy said he would come back later to be interviewed... At that later interview Murphy told the Badge, they went to the empty home just to feed the cats...
After being read his rights, Mr Murphy refused to answer any other questions. After getting out of the place, Murphy hired an attorney.
.... The victim stated that the acts occurred two times per week when they visited the deceased grandmother's house.
If convicted of sexual assault first degree he can be looking at 100 years and fine. If found guilty of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian Murphy could receive an additional 20 years behind bars plus another fine.
