Tossing Agreement

It took the
Clayberry Board of Edumacation three stabs at getting the old
Superintendent off the island agreement finalized. Our Super
left on Nov 2nd before midnight. At that time, Paxton
was no longer an employee of this school system.
He did return two other times to change the fine print of the termination agreement.
That final agreement is listed below in its entirety. That vote to finalized came after a 2 hour and 45 minute secret time near the end of November. It was not a unanimous vote either. Board Chair Phoebe Nichols and Brooke Jones were "nay" votes on the changes made that night.
None the less, the agreement stands and Pretty Boy Paxton is off the payroll. Keep in mind those $$$ 's he's getting, it's actually a savings for this county in more ways than one. What we're thinking about it, we no longer pay an Asst Superintendent (Joan Haynie) wages since she moved up to the top slot.
No matter what you think of the agreement, for 2023, we actually have a fresh start for edumacation in County Clay. Also, it's much cheaper than heading into a costly lawsuit.
