Going, Going, Sort of Gone
Dec 22 2022
As Neil
Young use to sing, "There comes a time".
That time is here.
After right at 28 years of trying to improve
County Clay with first hand straight forward information and
with 69 years under his belt and arthritis slowing down those
writing and typing fingers, the Ace Cub Reporter is heading
into semi retirement.
Not not shutting down completely but making a big
change. Change is nothing new for the lad.
Back in 2008 and after some heart attacks, four
bypasses and three stints in 2009, he cut back on the meeting
coverage.
2+ years ago, due to COVID, the wittle tubby guy cut
back even more. He had no choice with that decision
Now there's another change coming starting right now.
To make things easier on him, Clayberry coverage will switch
gears to the stuff he really likes to cover, courtroom
dealings, Magistrate Reports, Blotter charges, and a new
direction, in depth pictures of this place and its people.
Over the years, it's the people of Clayberry that kept
this newspaper of choice alive and thriving. During those many
boycotts, the nails in the parking lot, the physical attacks,
it was you the readers and clickers that kept hope alive and
coming your way.
Don't get all excited about losing your only source for
real news from County Clay, it's changing but there comes a
time and it's here now
Thanks for 28 years and here's to a few more just a
wittle different
