Amber J
Butcher (DOB 12-25-1978) has a long history in the Court
system. 100% of her problems can be tied to drug abuse. The 43
year old is now back in the news and not in a good way.
Back on Nov 28th, 911 dispatched Green Shirt J A Miller to respond to a single vehicle wreck on Main Street in downtown Clay. The vehicle had veered off the pavement and struck the retaining wall in front of the old Courthouse. Fire responded first. Amber told those guys her Father (Tim Butcher) was driving the vehicle. Witnesses on the scene said that wasn't true.
First Amber went into Walgreens, followed by walking to the Dollar General. A local business owner reported, Amber had gotten out of the wreck alone and walked past her shop. Tim Butcher was not with her.
After using the business owner's phone, a few minutes later, Amber got in a white Chevy Impala and skedaddled
Green Shirt Miller was unable to find her that day.
That wrecked vehicle had been rented to Tim Butcher and was owned by Hertz Rental.
Using the old walkie talkie, turns out Amber Butcher had priors on her record including driving revoked and leaving the scene of an accident. The most recent conviction was on July 20, 2020.
Magistrate Jeff Boggs issued the warrant for her arrest.
Go back and read that again. Ms Butcher told those at the scene, not me buddies, I wasn't driving, It was Tim Butcher.
Keep in mind, out of control drug abuse is a mental health issue but............ she still tried to get someone else in trouble and protect her own arss. Drugged up or not, that makes her a rat.
Just on a personal note, the Ace Cub Reporter was headed up Triplett Ridge that day. Comin down the hill was a dark in color four door sedan with a female driver. The vehicle was all over the road. Not just a little over the yeller line but clear over , nearly touching the guard rail. When the reporter say her coming down, he got up against the guard rail himself fully expecting to get smashed. Instead, at the last second, Ms Butcher jerked to her right and missed the lad.
Fast forward to Feb 11th with this criminal complaint penned by Green Shirt J M Ellis and reads in part:
Around 7 pm, someone tipped off Ellis that Butcher was at her Father's house. Knowing Ms Butcher has an outstanding warrant for her arrest, ole Ellis headed over to Tim's house where noticed fresh foot prints in the snow on the front porch steps. He did hear a female's voice inside as she said "Who is it?"
Inside and in plain view, Ellis noticed drug paraphernalia. Ms Butcher said she was living at her Dad's place while he was in jail. Amber denied there were any drugs inside.
Eagle eye Ellis noticed a silver and black box on a kitchen counter. When asked, Ms Butcher replied, "That's my Dad's drugs." And, she had found the box in her Dad's closet.
There she is blaming something on somebody else, her own Dad!
Ellis talked to the Black Shirts who had been there one day earlier doing a drug bust and low and behold ,those Badges told him, they saw no silver and black box in the closet.
Inside the box were several Zanax pills, meth, and a brown substance which field tested to be Fentanyl.
Butcher went to jail and as of this writing she remains in CRJ awaiting a $7000 bond.
