Felony 7 was handed to Matthew Dale Jarrett (DOB 1-24-76) from Cherokee Drive in Clay for sexual abuse by parent, guardian. Green Shirt First Class T D McFeeley was the arresting Badge. Probable cause was found by Magistrate Jeff Boggs.
Paraphrased from the public complaint: In conjunction with Child Protective Services and the Prosecutor's office, in December, the call came in that physical abuse (4 year old and a 9 year old) was occurring at High Street Apts.
It was learned that Mr Jarrett was the babysitter while the parents were gone ... The children are now with relatives...
Mr Jarrett admitted to touching X thru her clothes and when he first met X, it was love at first sight.
At first the Badges thought the shooting took place in Nicholas County. Some time later it was learned that the murder took place in Dille, in Clayberry.
Green Shirt Shaffer reported that the accused fired one shot from a handgun striking the victim in the chest. ... this event transpired from a domestic verbal altercation between the victim and the accused regarding stolen property.
The victim was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
