Mr Taylor
Mr Holstein
Daily we hear stories of a neighbor, brother, granny becoming
the victim of thievery, vandalism or some other bad deed. Down in the Elkurst
Hartland Road area of Clayberry, there's been a spree of robberies in the
last 2 months.
Nearer to the old Swinging Bridge neighborhood, vandals
did their stealing thing 6 weeks ago. At one fishing camp home, the thugs
went so far as to rip out the copper wiring! Green Shirts were in the area
and noticed a bunch of the stolen stuff on a Joe Taylor's front porch.
Homeowners retrieved their stuff but refused to prosecute the bad
guys. End of case. Kapuut. In situations like that, don't blame the Badges,
Prosecutor, or Magistrate.
Here comes a new one but related to the just mentioned above
do badders.
Green Shirt F L Raynor nabbed Joseph Newly Taylor and Rickey
L Holstein around March 6th 2020. Both were charged with receiving and
transferring stolen goods. Holstein's felony was reduced to a misdemeanor.
Holstein was sentenced to a one year jail time but suspended to probation
and costs. Our guess, Mr Holstein ratted on Joe Taylor.
From the public record, Criminal Complaint:
On March 4th, Raynor took a statement from Thomas Vane who said
his camper had been broken into and a generator had been swiped.
The camper is located three miles down river from the Hartland bridge on
Swinging Bridge Lane. The generator was unique in the fact that it was
a distinctive green color, was designed to fit into an RV, didn't have
a fuel tank, and there were no plug ins for electric wire. It was a 4000
watt generator and made by Onan.
Raynor had investigated several other break ins in the area
and had discovered several stolen items at the residence of Johnathon Williams
located on Hartland Road. Raynor interviewed WIlliams. Williams stated,
on Feb 7th 2020 Holstein and Taylor traveled to his residence in
a black Toyota car and offered to sell him a green generator in the
truck of the car.
Williams also stated that the generator was green in color and
made for a RV. Williams stated that he felt it was stolen. Although he
did not accept it, he was offered the generator for $100.
Williams lives about four miles from where the generator was
stolen from.
Williams had previously stated that he had purchased some of
the previous stolen items recovered from the home of Rickey Holstein and
from Taylor's residence.
Joe Taylor made bond earlier this week.
