Kelly Ruth McKinney
Felony 8 for this year comes under the name Kelly McKinney (DOB 1-30-87) from the Sutton area and arrested Jan 26th 2023. Green Shirt FL Raynor was the arresting Badge with Magistrate Boggs finding probable cause for burglary and battery.
Here's the brief run down from the criminal complaint on file in the Magistrate Clerk's office.
In the early early hours of Jan 26th the call came in to Clay 911 for Pack Fork Rd where a naked female forced her way into a residence and was fighting with her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Keener.
When Raynor made it to the residence the residents advised that the subject was still in the bedroom. Raynor observed a white female in the bedroom with blood on her chest and leg. The intruder was incoherent. EMS was called. Raynor noticed a small open wound on the back of the subject left ankle and small would near the center of her chest.....
The shootee was identified as Kelly Ruth McKinney and was transported to CAMC. She also appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
Mr Keener reported he went to let the dog out and when he opened the door, a naked woman ran into the house. Keener told her to leave. Keener said the McKinney subject wasn't making any sense.
Ms McKinney went to the back bedroom of the residence and then returned to the living room.. Mr Keener said when his wife, Elizabeth came into the living room... Mr Keener came into the living room where Ms McKinney got a cane and came after him and his wife..
Elizabeth Keener picked up a bar stool to fend off McKinney but McKinney took the bar stool from Ms Keener and came after him.
Mr Keener picked up his gun, warned McKinney several times. When she didn't stop, he shot her.
Mr Keener advised that after the shooting, McKinney ran into the daughter's bedroom and closed the door.
Ms McKinney would not provide her name. When Raynor showed a picture of McKinney to a neighbor, she was identified.
