Why Are We Here?

Perhaps that is the question of the ages?  Why are we here on this planet?  What is our purpose, if we have one?  Is there accountability?  Will we be judged by what we do or who we are?  Is there an answer?

If you don’t believe in God you may arrive at the position like many have that you are your own god.  The problem with that is that it simply doesn’t work.  The goofy ideas that come from that leads to disaster.  That disaster is bluntly, Hell.

Whether you believe in God or not doesn’t change truth.  There is a God and He created you for a purpose.  The first chapter of Ephesians tells us that we were created to give Him praise.  The largest book in the Bible (Psalms)is all about praise and trust and worshipping God.  God is love and He included you in that love.  Many times God is blamed for things that happen when He is not the one that caused it.  He may permit or let certain happens but He is not the instigator.

If you will read your Bible you will note that God gave this planet to Adam in the Garden of Eden and before long Adam gave it to satan, the devil.  That gave satan the authority that Adam had to have dominion on earth.  Satan is now the god of this world until his lease runs out and we are almost there.  You may not believe in God, but you will for every knee shall bow and give honor to God.  When Jesus returns He will not come as a lamb but as Lord of Lords and Kings.

Christians have a wonderful opportunity to honor God.  When Jesus gave His life for us at Calvary, He ushered in the Kingdom of God.  There is the kingdom of this world and there is the Kingdom of God.  Christians are still in the kingdom of this world but no longer are they under the curse of this world as we see in the book of Deuteronomy.  They, the Christians, are no longer bound by this world but have been set free and have been translated into the Kingdom of God (Colossians 1:13).  The problem is, most Christians don’t know what that means.  It changes our position, authority, responsibility, hope, faith and outlook.

The translation happened when we got saved but the manifestation is a lifelong process which comes forth as we are changed from the inside out by the Holy Spirit as we are taught by the Holy Spirit and that knowledge given by Him as we honor God’s Word in faith and begin to bear fruit that gives God the glory and the praise.  That’s part of what Jesus was talking about in John 10:10 Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  Opinions and mans theologies may impress man but God’s Word will never waiver and it shall be as He has decreed in His Word.  Read the Bible and find our for yourself.  It’s your future.
