SCHOOL BOARD MEETS
"The Bail Outs Begin"
June 13

County Clay's Board of Edumacation held a public meeting, mostly public anyway, on June 13th in the Pentagon. More than a dozen taxpayers were in the peanut gallery to watch the free entertainment.
With nearly 30 years watching those rascals, we have never seen a meeting agenda with over 40 items listed. Including 16 minutes behind closed doors, everything was covered in a little over 60 minutes.
Boy Oh Boy the bail outs are already in progress. There was no mention of the layoffs at Big Odor Elem and H E White Elem. Not a peep.
Here's what we saw on the 13th
Science teacher Carrie Huffman resigned from Clay County High School (CCHS)
Science teacher Daniel Proctor also bailed out at CCHS
Long time Vo Ag teacher Brian Holcomb walked into retirement time but plans to be a sub teacher in the future

Dustin Vaughan is the new 5th grade teacher at  Big Otter
   and and and.
It was time to go secret to decide the fate of a high school student. After 16 minutes behind closed doors, the kid was tossed from CHS for 365 days and be on virtual learning to graduation next year.

The only item that raised any eyebrows was the upcoming Superintendent evaluation which will come during the last meeting of the setting Board, on June 27th.
Superintendents get the evaluation ritual every year. Normally that doesn't amount to much and life goes on.
For 2022 and the crapola that has been unfolding this year, including the loss of the Excess Levy, this evaluation may shed some light on our own Orville, Joe, Pretty Boy, Mercedes, Paxton's, future.
